As we have learned

Comparision between isothermal and adiabatic process in expansion -

- wherein

\omega _{isothermal}> \omega _{adia}

P _{isothermal}> P _{adia}

T _{isothermal}> T _{adia}

 

 If 1 is isothermal then 2 can not be isothermal because both can't intersect each other in this case so 2 must be adiabatic 

If 2 is adiabatic then 1 may be adiabatic also because of diffrent value of \gamma for monoatomic , diatomic and tiatomic gases
