Ross wants to sell his goats, hence puts up an advertisement in a paper. Ram wants to buy those goats and sends a letter to Ross at some price. Ross is happy with the price, and posts a letter of acceptance to Ram. In the meanwhile, Ram manages to hunt some wild animals for meat, and does not want the goats anymore. In the meanwhile, the letter fails to reach Ram. Ross sues Ram for performance of contract terms. Decide

Ross has no right to ask for enforcement of contract as communication of acceptance of proposal is incomplete.

Ross can enforce the contract as communication of acceptance is considered as complete.

Ross cannot enforce the contract as the letter never reached Ram.

Communication of an acceptance is complete as against the proposer when it is put in a course of transmission to him. The fact as to whether the letter really reached him is not in consideration. Since communication of acceptance is considered complete, unless Ram officially revokes the contract, he is still bound by its terms. hence option c is correct.
