Test of Divisibility -

Divisible by 4: if and only if the number formed by last two digits is divisibly by 4

For example: 886524 is divisible by 4, as last two disgit is divisible by 4.

Divisible by 7: if and only if we double the last digit of the number and then subtract it from the remaining number. If the result is divisible by 7, then the original number will also be divisible by 7.

88312 is divisible by 4 because the number formed by its last two digits i.e., 12 is divisible by 4.

88312 is divisible by 7 because

8831 - 2 x 2 = 8827

882 - 7 x 2 = 868

86 - 8 x 2 = 70

the number formed by i.e., 70 is divisible by 7.

Hence 88312 is divisible by 28
