\mathrm{L=540 \mathrm{cal}=540 \times 4.2=2268 \mathrm{~J} }

Energy supplied =\mathrm{1080 \mathrm{Js}^{-1} }

Time required to boil 100 g of water

\mathrm{t=540 \times 4.2 \times 100 / 1080=210 \mathrm{~s} }
