Bohr effect: It occurs when there is an increase in carbon dioxide that is (CO2) concentration in the blood, which results in a lower blood pH. This results in a decrease in the amount of oxygen in the blood needed for transport.

Haldane effect: It is slightly the opposite of the Bohr effect in that more oxygen from the hemoglobin is available for transport and less of a concentration of carbon dioxide.
