For x-rays coming from a Coolidge tube, consider the following statements:

A. product of cutoff wavelength and accelerating voltage is a constant

B. \lambda\left(\mathrm{K}_\alpha\right) is smaller than \lambda\left(\mathrm{K}_\beta\right)

Option: 1

A and B both are true

Option: 2

A is true but B is false

Option: 3

A is false but B is true

Option: 4

Here \mathrm{\frac{c h}{\lambda_{\text {cut off }}}=e (acc. voltage)}

So, \mathrm{\left(\lambda_{\text {cut off }}\right)( acc. voltage )=\frac{c h}{e}= constant .}

so, (A) is correct

Here \mathrm{\lambda\left(K_\alpha\right)=\frac{c h}{E\left(K_\alpha\right)}>\frac{c h}{E\left(K_\beta\right)}=\lambda\left(K_\beta\right)}

\therefore (B) is false.

Hence correct option is (B)
