The major causes of the biodiversity loss include habitat loss and fragmentation, alien species invasion, climate change, economic exploitation natural disasters like drought, floods, etc. Among these , the most important cause of extinction is habitat loss and fragmentation. It is caused by deforestation, overpopulation, pollution and global warming. Habitat loss distrups the complex interactions among the species and also kill or force out many plants. With the fragmentation of forest, the species occupying deeper parts are first to disappear.
