Let current in 5 \Omega resistor be \mathrm{I_1} and in \mathrm{4 \Omega} resistors be \mathrm{I_2}, then \mathrm{\frac{I_2}{I_1}=\frac{1}{ 2}}.

The heat generated in the \mathrm{5 \Omega} resistor is \mathrm{10 \mathrm{cal} \mathrm{~s}^{-1}}= given \mathrm{I_1^2 \times 5=10 \Rightarrow I_2^2=\frac{1}{2}}

Heat in the \mathrm{4 \Omega} resistor will be \mathrm{\left(I_2\right)^2 \times 4=2 \mathrm{cal} \mathrm{~s}^{-1}}
