A gene that is associated with a specific sex chromosome is known as a sex-linked gene. The X and Y chromosomes are the two sex chromosomes in humans. Sex-linked genes are those that are found on the X or Y chromosomes. These genes can affect additional qualities that are more prevalent in one sex than the other in addition to being frequently implicated in determining an individual's sex. For instance, because the gene for colour blindness is on the X chromosome, it is more prevalent in men than women. This is because males only require one copy of the gene to be affected, whereas females require two copies because they have two X chromosomes. Overall, sex-linked genes are an important component of the genetic makeup of an individual and can influence a wide range of traits and characteristics.

Option 1 is the correct answer.
