The total number of lines present in the brooch are 10 (line starting from centre).

Thus the angle of each sector is 36o.

The area of sector is given by :- 

                                                            \\Area\ =\ \frac{\Theta}{360^{\circ}}\ \times \pi r^2\\\\Area=\ \frac{36^{\circ}}{360^{\circ}}\ \times \pi \times \left ( \frac{35}{2} \right )^2\\\\Area=\ \frac{385}{4}\ mm^2
