Here Given Magnification:

m= -3 (real image)

The object distance :

u =-10cm

Now As we know,

m=-\frac{v}{u}

v = - m\times u

v = - (-3)\times(-10)

v = -30cm

Hence,

The image is at 30cm in front of the mirror.

Given :-   U = -10cm as we know object is always on left  , therefore -ve sign]

Therefore m -3

As , m = -v/u

Therefore -v/u = -3

-v / -10 = -4

12 x (-4)  by cross multiplication

V = -30

A/Q

m= -3(real imaze)

now the object distance

u= -10cm

now we all know

m= -v/u

v=-m*u

v=-(-3)*(-10)

v= -30cm

therefore,

the imaze is 30cm in front of the mirror

Given height of image is three times object

h'=3h

h'/h=-v/u

3h/h=-v/-10

3=-v/-10

-v=3*-10

-v=-30

V=30
