Define the Endocrine gland.
Endocrine glands-
The glands which do not discharge their secretions through a ductal system are known as endocrine glands. These glands discharge their secretions directly into the bloodstream. They are part of the body's control system and hormone production which regulates tissue and cell functions. Examples of endocrine glands include the Pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal gland, etc. Some are sex-specific glands like the testes (male) and the ovaries (female).
