As we know,

The equation of the circle with centre ( h, k) and radius r is given by ;

$(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2$

So Given Here

$(h,k)=(1,1)$

AND $r=\sqrt{2}$

So the equation of the circle is:

$(x-1)^2+(y-1)^2=(\sqrt{2})^2$

$x^2-2x+1+y^2-2y+1=2$

$x^2+y^2-2x-2y=0$
