best_answer

Given the quadratic equation: 2x^2 + x - 6 = 0

Factorisation gives, 2x^2 +4x-3x - 6 = 0

\Rightarrow 2x(x+2) -3(x+2) =0

\Rightarrow (x+2)(2x-3) = 0

\Rightarrow x= -2\ or\ \frac{3}{2}

Hence, the roots of the given quadratic equation are

 -2\ and\ \frac{3}{2}.
