What is recombination? Discuss the applications of recombination from genetic engineering.

Recombination is a combination of genes which is different from parental gene combinations. It can occur either naturally during meiosis or artificially through genetic engineering, which is used for recombining different species to produce beneficial products for humans. For example, the production of BT cotton, BT brinjal, and vaccines like hepatitis B was done with genetic engineering.
