5. What will happen if there are no platelets in the blood?

Platelets are small fragments of cells which do not contain a nucleus. It is of great importance to the human body. Some major functions are discussed below:
- Platelets release clotting factors in the blood at the time of injury or accident which stops the blood loss.
- Platelets play a very important role in flow of blood throughout the body.
- If there is an absence of platelets in the blood there can be excess blood loss without the clotting factor which can lead to death of the person.
