Which of the following has more inertia:

            (a) a rubber ball and a stone of the same size?

            (b) a bicycle and a train?

            (c) a five rupees coin and a one-rupee coin?

Answers (1)

We know that inertia is defined by the mass of the body. So the body having more mass/weigth will have more inertia.

(a) In case of rubber ball and stone of same size, stone will have greater mass so its inertia will be more as compared to rubber ball.

(b) Train has much more mass as compared to bicycle so inertia of train is larger.

(c) A five rupees coin has more weigth than one rupee coin so inertia of five rupees coin is more.
