4. Why is the transport of materials necessary in a plant or in an animal? Explain.
Transport of materials is necessary for plants and animals because due to transportation nutrients and oxygen are made available to all the parts of the body. The food is broken down into smaller components so that they can be absorbed by cells. If the transport of necessary nutrients and oxygen does not take place in the body, the body will not be able to survive. Our body also needs some energy for the removal of waste from our body.
