Pectoral girdle Pelvic girdle
Also known as the shoulder girdle, it provides skeletal support where forelimbs are attached. Provides skeletal support where hindlimbs are attached.
It includes a group of bones, the scapula and the clavicle that connect the arm on both sides. The sacrum and coccyx make up the pelvic girdle. Three bones i.e.ileum, pubis and ischium made of paired hip bones also make up the girdle.
It performs the function of holding, lifting, etc. It performs the function of jumping, standing, etc.
