A Hypochondriac is a person who is abnormal and unnecessarily anxious about one’s health. In This category, Jerome starts off by feeling uneasy because he had just read a patent liver-pill circular. Scanning the symptoms of liver disease, Jerome imagines he has similar problems, He also feels that he has some serious illness. He recollects his visit to the British museum and starts reading his treatment. He read all the symptoms of his disease from A to Z in the book and he also came to know about the symptoms of typhoid. He felt that he was in a Hospital. The diagnosis seems in every case to correspond exactly with all the sensations that I have ever felt.
