$wkt \; \; v^{2}=u^{2}+2*a*s$

$v^{2}=2*0.5*500$

$v^{2}=2*a*s$

$v=\sqrt{500}=22.36 \frac{m}{sec}$

$v=u+a*t\Rightarrow v=a*t$

$t=\frac{22.36}{0.5}\; =\; 44.72 sec$
