Rural Development in India is one of the most important factors for the growth of the Indian economy. India is primarily an agriculture-based country. However, Few areas that demand focused attention and forming of the new initiatives are Education, Public Health and Sanitation, Women empowerment, Infrastructure development that is Electricity and Irrigation, etc, availability of credit and Employment Opportunities. Development of rural India and Villages is the process of improving the quality of life of people living in the rural areas and villages by providing the above Things. Rural development can be done by doing agriculture and forestry. The main objective of rural development is to provide better education to underprivileged children in the guidance of privileged children, These programmes have been alleviation of poverty and unemployment through the creation of basic social and economic infrastructure and Training to the unemployed youth and providing employment to marginal farmers/ Labourers to discourage seasonal and permanent migration to urban areas. Agriculture contributes nearly one-fifth of the GDP in India. 

Rural development in India is one of the most important factors in the growth of the  Indian economy. The ministry of rural development in India is the apex body in formulating the policies of the Growth of the Indian economy for the people that is Development for the Rural sector. Agriculture, Poultries, Fisheries are primary keys to boost the Development of rural Sector. People’s participation is one of the foremost Prerequisites in formulating the policies for the development of the rural sector. It enhances the Participatory plans.
