(a) On heating, the semiconductor the value of resistance decreases, so as to keep current constant the value of R should be increased.

(b) Photodiode

   

\rightarrow A photodiode is operated under reverse bias

\rightarrow Photodiode accept light energy as input to generates an electric current.
