A point ‘O’ marked on the surface of a glass sphere of diameter 20 cm is viewed through glass from the position directly opposite to the point O. We have given :

u=-20,R=-10

\frac{n_{2}}{v}-\frac{n_{1}}{u}=\frac{n_{1}-n_{2}}{R}

\frac{1}{v}-\frac{3}{2(-20)}=\frac{\left ( 1- \frac{3}{2}\right )}{-10}

\frac{1}{v}=\frac{1}{20}-\frac{3}{40}=\frac{-1}{40}

v=-40
