(b) Concave/Diverging lens is used for the correction of this defect 

(c) Two main causes of developing this defect are 

Excessive curvature of eye lens

 elongation of eye ball

(d) P(D) = 1 / −2.5(m) = 10/ −25 = 2/ −5 = −0.4D
