a) Water is a very important natural resource which is required for every activity. it is known as the elixir of life due to its importance in the life of the living organisms. The sources of water are depleting and so there is need to save the reserves. The ways by which water can be saved are:
Use the water used for washing vegetables for watering the plants
Do not waste excessive water during bathing, flushing, etc.
b) One of the common methods for preventing the ground water level to go down further is through afforestation. The planting of the new trees will allow the soil to be held tightly by the roots of the plants. This will prevent soil erosion and surface run-off of the water. The water will seep slowly into the ground and help in maintaining the water level.
