(a) Hydrocarbon are organic compounds consisting of hydrogen and carbon.

    eg. CH_{4} (methane)

           C_{2}H_{6} (Ethane)

(b) Saturated hydrocarbons contains carbon-carbon single bond also the carbon and hydrogen atoms bond together by single bond.

    i.e, alkane  e.g, CH_{4} (methane)

    Unsaturated hidrocarbon have double or even triple     bonds between carbon atoms.

    i.e, alkene eg.

        CH_{2}=CH_{2}

    alkyne e.g. CH=CH  (ethyl)

(c) (I) Methanol (Methyl alcohol)

     (II) Ethanol (Acetaldehyde)

     (III) Propanone (Acetone)

     (IV) Ethanoic Acid (Acetic Acid)
