(b) 

(i) When baking soda is heated during cooking, 

NaHCO3 ------> Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2

(ii) When gypsum is heated at 373\; K , 

CaSO4.2H2O ------- >  CaSO4.12H2O (Plaster of Paris) + 3/2 H2
