(a) Write the function of each of the following parts of human eye :

(i) Cornea

(ii) Iris

(iii) Crystalline lens

(iv) Ciliary muscles

(a) Function of Cornea : The transparent front outer covering of eye which act like window that controls and focuses the entry of light in eye.

(b) Iris :- It regulate and controls the amount of light entering the eye by automatically adjusting the size of pupil according to the intensity of right that eyes receive . It also gives the colour of eyes.

(c) Crystalline lens : It merely provide the finer adjustment of focal length required to focus object at different distance on retina .

(d) Cilliary muscles : When muscles are relaxed lens become thin, its focal length increass . This help to see distant object clearly. To look at closer object,cilliary muscles contract them eye lens become thick, focal length of eye lens decrease .This enable us to see nearby object clearly.

(e) At sunrise , the sun is located near horizon of earth and hence light travel a long distance through earth atmosphere.The suspended atmospheric particle have wavelength similar to blue light.When sunlight falls on atmosphere the blue light is scattered out by these atmospheric particle the light reaches earth is predominantly red.Hence,red light reaches our eyes, the sun and its surrounding appear reddish No, same phenomenon will not occur on moon as there is no atmospheric to scatter light.
