In this scene we again come in Portia's house. The prince of Morocco enters. He sees the three caskets in front of him. Portia tells the prince that one of the caller's contains her portrait. She will marry the man who chooses the same casket. The proud prince rejects the lead casket he does not want to risk anything. He rejects the silver casket too. He chooses the gold casket and opens it. There is a scroll of paper. It contains a remark, "all that glitters is not gold ". He leaves the palace.
