Rumi's parents are not worried about sending them out alone because the protection of teenage girls is the sole responsibility of parents. They need to protect them from the evils of the society. And children at this age know less about these harms. There are elements prevailing in the society who molest girls, misguide them, harm them or there are activities like kidnapping, theft, chain or purse snatching etc.. Thus their parents are worried and they should accompany them.
