Taplow thinks that his teacher Mr. Crocker was very strict but is not sadistic. He thinks that his teacher was unbiased, responsible, and very disciplined. He doesn’t get impressed by anyone for his efforts. Taplow was very respectful towards his teacher Mr. Crocker Harris and he likes him for his principles. He was an extraordinary master and then criticized for being a feelingless person. He does not want to make Crocker-Harris angry by displeasing him in any manner.
