There is huge population around the globe. Thats why there is tough competition in every field. To compete in any field one need to be well equipped with enough knowledge and information. A healthy competition leads to progress because to compete one need to really work hard in the area of competition. For example if you want to be a cricketer than you have work tremendously hard because there is so much talent all around and to compete in the game, one need to be extra ordinarily genius and to be a genius one need to work harder continuously. Here competition leads to progress. Even at our work place we keep on working hard to get promotion, appraisal or  appreciation. Again competition leads to progress of individual and the organisation as well.
