The tiger in the tunnel is a touching story. it shows the courage and the trials and tribulations of Baldeo who was an ordinary man. He risked his life and faced the dangers of the wild animals of the jungle. He did his duty honestly so that the night mail train could travel safely with all the passengers, through the tunnel. And he lost his life while fighting with the dangerous tiger. In the end we could see the concern of Tembu, his son who took his duty of being the night guard, holding the axe in his hand.
