The process of becoming a novelist is-

1. Find a story worth telling and writing about in form of a novel or a book.

2. Expose yourself to activities like theatre, where you can become another person. Gain as much as experience as you can with different types of people and listen to their stories. 

3. Practise, practise and practice as much as you can on how to write,  what to write and when to write.

4.  Write the first draft and treat it as a draft only. Re read it, critically analyse it and re write it.

5. Be patient, writing takes time. So, preserve, learn and write when you can and with appropriate words, sentence structure, using appropriate literacy devices.

6. In order to write and get over your writing block make some changes in your lifestyle, in your surrounding, home or workplace.

7. Keep a record of each of your work. Write all the  necessary information somewhere and keep it complied and organized.

8. Market your work consciously and carefully.
