Short circuit Overloading

Short circuit occurs when live wire comes in contact with neutral wire

Overloading occurs when large amount of current flows through appliances

Potential difference drops to 0 at point of Short Circuit.

Potential difference becomes very low, but not 0

Short circuit occurs when there is a fault between the line to earth

overload occurs when an equipment draws excess current from the supply.
