Making Indian a clean country was a dream of Mahatma Gandhi. Keeping this in mind, “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” was Started by Hon'ble Prime minister Narendra Modi in October 2014. This Campaign is aimed at making India a Clean India by October 2019. It is the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On the Launch of this Campaign, the Prime Minister announced the Names of 12 celebrities and he asked them to join their Campaign to motivate the Public for maintaining hygiene. These include Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, etc. 

The Main Objective Of this Campaign is to create Public Toilets in Urban areas and Rural Areas. The Purpose of this campaign is to spread awareness about cleanliness as we all have studied earlier Classes “Cleanliness is Godliness”. It is for the betterment of our Country. The people of India need to be Healthy, Good Health is always happening there when there is cleanliness. This campaign is not only for the Government this is for Us also. We have to understand the responsibility towards cleanliness. And when we succeed in this campaign the Dream of Mahatma Gandhi’s Clean India will be fulfilled that day.
