Essay on homage to freedom fighters 

Freedom Fighters are people who have fought a lot for the freedom of the country. These freedom fighters gave their best to fight against British rule in India. These people are also known as revolutionaries, social transformers and  social activist. Thousand of people from every part of India fought against Britishers. Some examples of such freedom fighters are Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar lal Nehru, Vipin Chandra Pal, Lala Lajpat Rai, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Mangal Pandey and Rani Laxmi Bai. These are some of the popular names who helped India gain freedom. However, contribution of other people couldn't be ignored.

Some other freedom fighters are Surya Sen who was also known as Master da. He was involved with Mahatma Gandhi in the Non-Cooperation Movement. He is well known for his leading role in Nineteen hundred and thirty Chittagong Armoury Raid where he raided a police Armoury. He was later hanged for his attempts to rebel against Britishers. Many freedom fighters like Surya Sen were tortured and hanged for protesting against Britishers. One of them was Rani Gaidinliu, who was known for her armed resistance against Britishers. She was from Manipur and was declared terrorist by Britishers and later was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment. 

Other freedom fighters are Matangini Hazra, Ram prasad Bismil, Bagha Jatin, Bir Tikendrajit Singh, Durgawati Devi, Pingali Venkaya and Hemu Kalindi. Other were Khudiram Bose who was among the youngest Martyr against India's fight against British rule. He was born in West Bengal and he joined Anshulin Samiti and then through it took part in several revolutionary activities. He attempted to kill a Birtish officer and was given death sentence for this. There were several others who fought for India's freedom and gave their life. Thus, their contribution also shouldnot be forgotten.
