In the poem "Stolen Boat" by William Wordsworth, the poet's mood changed from when he got on to the boat and during his mood during the return trip. The mood of the poet was filled with excitement before the boat's trip and during the road trip , it changed from excitement to immense pleasure. While on the return trip, his mood became serious and grave.
The poet depicts the state of mind of a ten year old boy who on one Sumner evening, found a stolen boat. The stolen boat was tied to a willow tree. The boy in excitement unties the boat and starts rowing the boat along the lake. Later, he got scared by the huge peak and ran homeward towards the meadows.
