Enzymes are biological catalysts that are involved in many biological reactions. An enzyme is a primary structure made up of a linear chain of amino acids that are linked together by a peptide bond. Enzymes are highly specific for a specific substrate. Also, most of the enzymes are often called proteins and therefore their function is specific to their structure.
