Solution: Let A(4,3),B(6,3);and;P(2,y)

Let P divides AB Internally in the ratio k:1

Then ,             2=6k+4/k+1Rightarrow k=-1/2

herefore P divides AB externally in the ratio 1:2

Now,                         y=(1 imes 3-2 imes 3/1-2)=3
