Given quadratic equation :

9x^2 - 3ax + 1 = 0

if b^2-4ac =0, then roots of the quadratic equation are equal.

Here, b=3a, c=1, a=9

\Rightarrow (-3a)^2-4\times 9\times 1=0

\Rightarrow 9a^2- 36=0

\Rightarrow 9a^2 =36

\Rightarrow a^2 =4

\Rightarrow a =\pm 2
