(a) Platinum, gold and sliver are used to make jewellry because metals are low reactive metals which are are resistant to corrosion.

(b) Metals like sodium and potassium are highly reactive metals, the reaction of these metals with oxygen is highly exothermic which may cause fire, also they form base after reacting with watre, so they are kept in oil.
