 The time period of a simple pendulum is given by

T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l}{g}}

So keeping g= constant

if we increase its length by four times

i.e l'=4l

So

T'=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l'}{g}}=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{4l}{g}}=2*(2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l}{g}})=2T

i.e Its time period will increase by 2 times
