Pollution has severely polluted the earth. The main cause of pollution is the carbon emission from the production of any product or service. The carbon imprint of a product decides how much it will affect the environment. To reduce carbon emission and pollution, we should limit the use of non-recyclable products like plastic and switch to recyclable goods and degradable products like jute, cotton etc. Non-degradable products like plastic don’t break down for hundreds of years, thus pollute the earth. The companies producing goods should use eco-friendly methods and reduce their waste and treat it ecologically. Airplanes, four wheel drive emit high amount of carbon gases. We should reduce unnecessary use of such transports. We should switch to walking or riding bicycle for short distances. We can also switch to electric vehicles. We should use finite resources like coal, petrol etc. wisely so we save it for future generations. We should plant more trees. People should switch to plant based diets as the meat industry carbon imprint is high as they have to clear forests for animals to graze.
