How would you appreciate the role of light in photosynthesis

Light plays an important role in the process of photosynthesis. As soon as the light falls on the surface of the leaves a series of light reaction takes place very quickly inside the thylakoids of chloroplasts. Also, light helps in the chlorophyll activation by absorbing photons. In the presence of light, the splitting of water takes place. The absorbed energy is used in splitting the water molecule into its two components that is hydrogen and oxygen and release electrons. The process is known as Phytolysis or Splitting of light. Also , on exposure to light, the stomata facilitates the gaseous diffusion.
