I want the steps. The LCM of two numbers is 42 .it both the numbers are of two digits,and are not the exact multiples of each other ,what are the numbers?

The L.C.M. of 42 is 42=2*3*7,to get both the digits of the number,we will multiply the numbers with 2,3,7 to find the numbers which are not exactly multiples of each other
(1) Both the numbers has 2 in common -> 2 * 3, 2 * 7 -> 6, 14
(2) Both the numbers has 3 in common -> 3 * 2, 3 * 7 -> 6, 21
(3) Both the numbers has 7 in common -> 7 * 2, 7 * 3 -> 14, 21
Since both the numbers are 2-digit we get 14,21 as the final answers
