If the length of each edge of a cube is doubled, how many times does it volume become

Answers (1)

Assume the edge of the cube = a

Volume of the cube (v1)= a3

Now edge is doubles = 2a

New volume (v2) = (2a)3 = 8a3 = 8v1

Hence the volume becomes eight times of the original volume.
