If the perimeter of square is equal to circumference of a circle then find the ratio of their area

Answers (1)

best_answer

Let the Side of square = x unit
 then the Perimeter of square = 4x

Similarly

Let the radius of circle= r
then the circumference of circle = 2\pi r

According to question

2\pi r=4x\ \\ \\\Rightarrow x=\frac{\pi r}{2}

Now Ratio of area of the square to the area of circle= \frac{x^2}{\pi r^2}=\frac{(\frac{\pi ^2r^2}{4})}{\pi r^2}=\frac{\pi }{4}
