best_answer

The poem Nightingales is written by Robert Bridges. It reveals the truth about nightingales. The birds do not sing in happiness but their song reveals the sorrow felt by them. The poet asks the birds about the beauty of the mountains from where they came. Again he imagines that the nightingales must have learnt their sweet music from those valleys which are full of fruits. But the nightingales say that their song is not charming due to the beauties of the landscape, but it is charming because it expresses the pain that lies in their heart.
